Capturing joy, belonging, and the places where childhood happens.

Miracle Recreation has been building communities since 1927 — nearly 100 years of creating the spaces where children take their first brave leaps, where neighbors become friends, and where joy is a shared. For 15 years, I have been the visual voice of that mission: directing the photography, video, and integrated creative campaigns that translate something physical — steel and plastic — into something deeply human.

“A playground is the heart of a community. It is joy, laughter, thrill, and innovation — and my job has been to make the camera see that.”

This work demanded something beyond product photography. It demanded an understanding of people — how light catches a child mid-laugh, how a community gathers around a new park installation, how a family with a child who has a disability experiences a space that was designed with them in mind. Every shoot required me to find that human truth and put it on film.

KEY RESPONIBILITES

Each production was a full creative ecosystem. I set the visual strategy, wrote the creative brief, cast and styled subjects, scouted and secured locations, managed budgets from $5K to $250K, hired and led full crews (photographers, videographers, stylists, production assistants), and provided real-time art direction on site. In post-production, I directed retouching and editing to ensure every asset — from a catalog hero image to a social cut-down — served the larger brand story.
